Due to continued growth and increase in workload we are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Electrician.

HES (Highland Electrical Services) Ltd are an Electrical Contracting Business based in Inverness, operating across the North of Scotland. The Company specialises in Industrial / Commercial Electrical Installation and Maintenance across a range of different industries including Manufacturing, Water, Hospitality, Transport and Pharmaceuticals. . We feel it is time to invest in the future of our business and take on an apprentice electrician to help with our current workload and gain the knowledge and skills throughout their apprenticeship to become a highly trained Electrician. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join one of the leading Electrical Contractors in the Highlands. Full training will be given by our Electricians and further training will be given in college on a block release basis.

Apprentice Electrician Job description – As an Electrical apprentice you will be expected to work alongside qualified tradesmen. You will be representing HES so will be expected to do so in a professional, safe manner and be presentable always. You will be given on the job training and be trained in college.

Are you able to think on your feet and able to solve problems? – A lot of our work is can be on a tight timescale we are looking for someone to assist our Electricians bring our contracts in on time and on budget.

Can you work away from home? – Many of the projects that HES carry out are not within the Inverness area. You may be asked to stay away from home for periods of time.

Candidate Specification

Desired Qualifications:

• National 4/5 Physics or Technological Studies
• National 4/5 Mathematics
• English

Experience –

• Basic Electrical Understanding
• Basic Admin & Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
• Previous Electrical Work Experience (Advantageous)

General Skills –

• Excellent Communication Skills
• Well Organised
• Ability to Prioritise Own Responsibilities Effectively
• Ability to Multi Task

Personal qualities –

• Flexible & Able to Contribute to the Team (Team Player)

Desirable –

• Electrical Installation Pre-Apprentice Ship Course or similar
• Full UK Driving License
